Bland Food? Chibundiro, a Kenyan organic natural spice to the rescue

By Value Magazine Team on 6 October 2018 at 07:44 am

Is your food tasteless, flavourless, insipid, mild, savourless, unflavoured, weak, thin, watery, watered-down, spiceless, unappetizing? Well, Taste Afrique's is here to sort you out with Chibundiro.

Chibundiro, a mixture of coriander, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, onions, cumin seeds, cardamon, black pepper, and cloves, is a creation of 3 entrepreneurs namely Winnie Chiwai, Anzazi Kiti and Gift Kiti.

They founded the business, Taste Afrique ltd in 2014. The formulation was created by Anzazi, when her sister Gift Kiti was tired of bland school food.  She used to make a fried mix of spices for her to carry to school.

Where to buy Chibundiro

Chibundiro is stocked in Chandarana Foodplus, Eastmatt and Cleanshelf supermarkets. You can also buy directly from their website
